The Cedarburg Fire Department holds a very strong dive team. The dive team consists of eleven people. Along with these eleven, they are joined by three other neighboring communities. The divers involved vary in skills. These skills are open water, dive rescue, advanced dive and ice dive. All of the divers are required to attend classes and become certified.

Training for the divers include open water dive, zero visibility dive, ice dives, surface ice rescue, and swift water rescue. Training is held every two months and at various locations throughout the state. Equipment is very important to the divers. Cedarburg's divers are responsible for everything from using their regulators to operating a motor of a dive boat. Different scenarios are created to prepare every diver for any situation that may occur.

The ultimate goal for this dive team is to perform a rescue as safe as possible and in a timely manner. All members involved carry this goal with them every day, which makes this dive team a success.
